The Serenity is an easy-to-use powered rotating bed which can support users with unassisted transfers helping to maintain and enhance their independence.
However, if carer-assistance is needed for transfers, the bed can potentially reduce the number of carers involved, promoting dignity and reducing costs.
The bed will assist with the transition from lying flat to a seated position, then rotating through 90o so the feet are on the floor and finally standing up.
The user can manage each step of this process, with a handset which controls the electric motors. A battery back-up ensures that, in the event of a power cut, the bed never gets stuck in the wrong position. There is a 2-year warranty on the motors and electrics (and 3 years for the bed frame).
Hand rails provide additional safety and assurance for the user when transferring into or out of the bed.
The bed can be dismantled for storage or transporting.
The Serenity is supplied with an attractive Oak wood finish.
