Fortuna Mobility Centre is London’s largest independent living centre and showroom and our aim is always to offer high quality equipment with expert advice from trained, experienced staff.
At Fortuna, we are constantly searching for innovative products which use technology to enable you live a better life. A good example is Theraposture’s range of Rotoflex beds which are electrically operated adjustable beds that also provide powered rotational assistance to make getting out of bed easier and safer.
The Rotoflex from Theraposture is the original and proven rotating bed system. Getting legs into bed is a problem for many people – the Rotoflex offers the solution.
At the touch of one button, the Rotoflex will move you from an upright seated to a lying position and vice versa. The precision mechanisms are smooth, quiet and strong so the transfer experience is pleasant and relaxing, you are always in total control.
The Rotoflex can help anyone with limited mobility but is particularly suited to those with serious neurological disability. Examples include progressive neurological conditions, such as Parkinson’s Disease, MS and MND (Motor Neurone Disease), in which a Theraposture can help to maintain independence at home for longer.
This rotating bed is the original and proven rotating bed system. Uniquely, this sophisticated adjustable bed has been developed over a period of 20 years. It allows people living with restricted mobility to access a bed independently and safely without the assistance of a carer.
Theraposture beds can reduce the high and ongoing cost of care. If bed transfers involve two carers, typically this will cost around £27,000 each year (see Theraposture Website for more details) so the potential for savings is significant.

The lowest powered rotational bed in the range – ideal for smaller users and those requiring a lower seat height.
At its lowest position, this Rotoflex provides a distance of only 43.5cm between the floor and mattress surface. This allows users with shorter legs to sit more comfortably by getting their bottom to the back of the seat. As with all Theraposture beds, the 175 Low is available with a range of mattress options.
Individualised designs for one person or couples to share.
The Rotoflex 200 Mk2 Bespoke is the ideal solution for the majority of people looking for a tailor-made adjustable bed with powered rotation to help them get in and out of bed safely and on their own terms. Its seamless and sequential profiling and variable height movement is smooth and quiet. The rotation is activated by just pressing and holding one button. The hand control is simple to use and responsive, so users always feel reassured.
It is available in a variety of sizes, as a single bed, or part of a double combination, with standard beech veneer, solid oak or upholstered surround. The Rotoflex 200 Mk2 Bespoke is supplied with a memory foam mattress that moves naturally with the bed as various positions are selected.
If you require a double combination, your partner can also then decide whether to have any profiling or variable height functionality on their side of the bed.
For users weighing up to 250kg.
For heavier users Theraposture provides the Rotoflex 300 which is the strongest rotating bed available today. This superb solution with super-strong German engineering can easily profile, lift and rotate a user weighing up to 250kg (39 stones).
