Topro is a Norwegian company which has developed and produced a range of high quality, specialist rollators and walking frames. They are widely recognised for their high design values, superior quality and excellent stability.

In 2002 it was awarded the Norwegian Design Council’s award for good design, and in 2005 awarded test winner of the German consumer organisation 'Stiftung Warentest'. The rollator is tested and approved according to TÜV NS-EN ISO 11199-2 (standard for security and quality for rollator) and has a 7-year warranty.

In addition to features found on ordinary rollators, it comes with several special features:

Anatomic handles.
Unique memory function in the handlebar tubes for simple height adjustment.
Wheels made of TPE provide a good grip on smooth surfaces such as lino or parquet flooring.
A total of twelve ball bearings in the wheels and forks to ensure smooth navigation of corners.
A lock clamp to lock the rollator securely in its folded position to make handling and transportation easier.

TOPRO Troja NEURO

The Troja NEURO is based on the Classic but with additional features that make it extra safe with enhanced control. This makes it particularly useful for users with significant neurological problems such as Parkinson’s. Key features include:

Reverse braking system to prevent falling.
Braking is automatically activated.
One handed braking can be specified.
Can be fitted with drag-brakes.
Handles designed for users with extra neurological needs.

This is an easy to fold forearm walker, which requires little space when stored. It provides good upper body support and is designed for use on flat surfaces indoors.

TOPRO Taurus Walker

The Taurus Walker is a well-designed and functional walker which offers good support for the upper body. High enough for tall users (up to 2.10 m), height adjustment can be either hydraulic (Taurus H, which can be used in the shower) or electric (Taurus E) for ease of use (the Premium model Taurus E can also be used to aid standing) .

The Taurus Walker comes with two levels of equipment: Basic and Premium. Both models feature adjustable arm pads and foot brakes. The Premium model is delivered fully assembled with adjustable handles, driving and parking brake on the righthand handle and the opportunity to lock the swing (directional block).

The Taurus is TÜV approved according to EN ISO 11199-3 (standard for walking aids, walkers) and in addition the Taurus E conforms to IEC 60601-1 (electrical safety) and IEC 60601-2 (electromagnetic compatibility) standards. All versions come with a 2-year warranty (see Topro website for details).

Central column provides easy access for nursing staff.
Maximum width on table is only 66 cm.
12.5 cm diameter wheels ensure the Taurus E is large enough to climb carpet edges, door thresholds etc., but small enough to reach under beds.
Slim design with steady legs ensures a safe walker.
Foot brakes on all four wheels.
Taurus H: Simple to use hydraulic height adjustment with easily available handles in front of the armrests, and easy to read height scale.
Taurus E: Easily visible red button for height adjustment which can be connected to external height adjustment panel (supplementary equipment).
Taurus E: Easy to read height scale and an electric motor to make the height adjustment very user friendly.

Accessories

Topro rollators and walkers come with an extensive range of unique accessories that make them more versatile and functional than any other rollators. These include:

One-handed braking system – this is particularly important where there is unilateral weakness (for instance following a stroke). However, if the patient’s needs change with time, a more standard braking system can be retrofitted.
Drag brakes can be specified, to slow the normal walking speed – this may be safer for some users.
Oxygen bottle holder for users with breathing difficulties.
Guide-handles for visually impaired users and users with cognitive problems. These allow a helper to assist in steering the rollator in the right direction.
Umbrella / parasol with attachment to the rollator.
