OTs & Commissioning Teams

Fortuna works closely with OTs, case managers and local authority commissioning teams, taking part in joint visits and assisting with the specification and installation of grab rails and stair rails as part of the wider plan for falls‑prevention and independence.

Key issues that we can help with include:

correct rail height, length, and positioning based on functional assessment
secure fixing based on the users requirements and the type of wall
clear recommendations aligned with OT reports and care plans
quick installation to reduce risk

We can follow OT recommendations, provide site feedback where required and work with Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) and local authority pathways.

If a user needs more than stair rails or grab rails we can also provide solutions involving StairSteady or a stairlift installation.
