A solution for people who need support on the stairs

Fortuna.Bambach Ltd is delighted to announce the acquisition of StairSteady, bringing one of the UK’s most innovative stair solutions into the Fortuna portfolio. We regard this as unique opportunity to introduce a life-changing product to thousands more people.

A unique alternative to a stairlift

When people begin to struggle with the stairs, the choice is often seen as either using a handrail or installing a stairlift. However, many people fall somewhere in between: they are still able to walk independently, but they need extra support to use the stairs safely and confidently.

StairSteady is designed specifically for this group. Unlike a stairlift, it allows users to continue walking up and down the stairs themselves while holding a secure moving support that travels with them. It provides reassurance, stability and confidence without replacing the user’s mobility.

For many people, this means they can remain active and continue using their own staircase safely.

The acquisition strengthens Fortuna Mobility’s position as a leading UK specialist in mobility and independent living equipment.

We always aim to provide the right solution at the right time. For some people that will be a stairlift, while for others it may be StairSteady, grab rails, walking aids, or other mobility solutions that help them remain safe and independent at home.
